New Practitioners inducted into ICED Family



New graduates of ICED were on Friday 2,2010 inducted into the famous hall of fame for CED practices with international specialization. The renowned Human Rights Lawyer and UN Head of Anti- Discrimination Section in Geneva- Chris Mburu delivered a powerful commencement speech and send forth the new practitioners to the world of CED practice. He challenged everyone in CED practice to be innovative, be passionate and provide leadership as well as respecting the core values of CED- Participation, Equity and sustainability. Chris Mburu is also the founder of Hilde Education Fund in Kenya which support the education of talented children unable to continue with school due to poverty. He hopes that educated people, especially from the developing countries, will be inspired to give back to their communities and uplift those left behind, and this way ensure sustainable development and durable peace. The Chair of CED program, Prof. Catherine Rielly gave the valedictory speech and concludes with a high note of remark for the new practitioners. David Kitusa from KIVA-Kenya gave the vote of thanks on behalf of ICED Class 2010.
